A Passion for Camping Ignites a Career

“My role is to empower my team to create unforgettable camping experiences.”

Aaron Langille, the General Manager of Camp-Out RV, has a deep-rooted passion for the great outdoors. His journey in the RV industry began with a simple camping trip, where he and his wife experienced the comfort of a tent trailer firsthand. This early exposure to the RV lifestyle sparked a lifelong love affair with camping and ultimately led him to a fulfilling career in the industry.

Langille's career at Camp-Out RV is a testament to his dedication and versatility. Starting in marketing, he quickly demonstrated his adaptability by transitioning to the service department to address a staffing shortage. Without a background in RV service, Langille was eager to take on the role as a service advisor, eventually becoming the service manager. His willingness to learn and grow led to roles in service management, parts, and the business office. This comprehensive understanding of the business equipped him to step into the General Manager role when the opportunity arose.

As General Manager, Langille's primary focus is supporting his staff in delivering exceptional customer service. "My role is to empower my team to create unforgettable camping experiences," he says. From managing daily operations to addressing customer concerns, Langille is committed to ensuring customer satisfaction. “That can mean helping move trailers, reviewing a monthly budget and finding ways for a department to meet their goals, helping to order/receive parts or schedule a service appointment for a customer. Every day is totally different, and I strive to provide the support my team needs to succeed.”

Effective leadership requires a diverse skill set. Langille emphasizes the importance of communication, problem-solving, and strategic thinking. "Anticipating challenges and making proactive decisions is crucial," he explains.

The RV industry presents unique challenges, including seasonal fluctuations and supply chain complexities. "The seasonal nature of our business can create bottlenecks, especially during peak season," Langille acknowledges. The RV industry is also unique with how many manufacturers there are, how many different parts can go in trailers and how often these part brands can change within the same RV manufacturer. It can make sourcing parts for customers a very long and drawn out process, especially when the customer has just purchased a new trailer and is waiting for a warranty part for months. Despite these challenges, Langille remains optimistic about the industry's future.

Aaron Langille's journey from camping enthusiast to industry leader is a testament to the opportunities available within the RV sector. His passion for the industry, coupled with his strategic leadership, positions Camp-Out RV for continued success.
