The RV Technical Institute technician training program is an experiential, competency-driven certification program crafted by industry experts. The hands-on program is divided into four levels of certification, covering theory and application, specialties training, and troubleshooting. The training provided in each level builds on the foundation of the previous one. Unfolding across four progressive levels, the curriculum seamlessly blends theory, hands-on application, and specialized troubleshooting.

propane certification

Given the inherent risks associated with handling propane, a highly flammable material, propane certification becomes an indispensable qualification. Improper handling of propane can lead to perilous situations, including gas leaks or even explosions. Therefore, it’s of paramount importance that individuals tasked with handling propane are equipped with the requisite knowledge and skills to ensure its safe usage.

Currently, propane certification is offered exclusively in Ontario and the Atlantic region. This certification serves as a vital credential for those involved in working with propane, propane containers, and related appliances in Recreation Vehicles. This certification not only validates their competence but also underscores their commitment to safety and adherence to industry standards.

  • Atlantic Propane Certification is currently only recognized in Nova Scotia, and PEI.

    This 60-hour course covers the fundamentals of propane with topics including: sources of propane, code requirements, flame characteristics, cylinder and tank systems and piping systems. This will give the technician the ability to troubleshoot, service repair and install propane components in a recreation vehicle system.
