Christopher Tannous: A Standout Career in RV and Powersports Finance

Christopher Tannous, recently awarded the Ontario RVDA Associate of the Year, is a dynamic force in the RV and powersports financing industry. Known for his charisma, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit, Christopher’s journey to success began far from a corporate setting—on his family’s 125-acre apple orchard in Hamilton, Ontario. Growing up immersed in farm life instilled in him a deep-rooted work ethic and a knack for innovation, qualities that would shape his path in business. Even as a child, he was exploring creative solutions, like designing solar-powered dog houses with a friend, a project that hinted at the ingenuity that would later define his career.

At just 17, Christopher took his first job at Home Depot, where his entrepreneurial flair quickly became evident. Alongside mixing paint, he started a house-painting business on the side, showing an early ability to balance multiple ventures with energy and charm. It was a chance encounter with a customer that changed his trajectory: recognizing his talent, they introduced him to the world of personal finance, setting him on a path toward becoming a top-performing Finance & Insurance (F&I) Manager at several dealerships. In this role, Christopher’s unique blend of salesmanship, financial expertise, and customer service consistently set him apart.

However, Christopher’s ambition reached beyond traditional roles. In 2018, with unwavering support from his wife, he took a bold leap and founded Powersports Link Financing. What started in a modest home office quickly evolved into a visionary company that brought fresh financing solutions to RV, marine, and powersports dealers across Canada. His dedication and knack for building lasting relationships soon paid off, securing a breakthrough partnership with Oakville Chrysler. With each success, Powersports Link Financing grew in both size and reputation, becoming known for helping dealers achieve their goals through smart, tailored financing.

Today, Powersports Link Financing has a team of 18 members, a robust network of banking partnerships, and a respected presence in the industry. But Christopher’s influence extends well beyond his business success. A dedicated family man, he balances his professional achievements with a deep commitment to family, and his clients and colleagues often describe him as both a trusted business partner and friend. His unique blend of humor, creativity, and business acumen has made him a beloved figure and a mentor to many.

Christopher’s inspiring journey—from farm life to industry leadership—is a testament to the power of hard work, vision, and resilience. The Ontario RVDA Associate of the Year Award is a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding contributions, and his career exemplifies the lasting impact that dedication and innovation can have on the RV and powersports financing landscape.
