Jamie Russell Honoured with 2024 Ontario RVDA Lifetime Achievement Award

The Ontario RV Dealers Association (ORVDA) has proudly presented Jamie Russell of JR’s Mobile Service, Kingston, Ontario, with the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award. Jamie, a prominent figure in the RV industry throughout Canada, was celebrated for his extraordinary dedication and immense contributions to RV education programs at community colleges and service training facilities.

Jamie Russell has pledged a decades-long commitment to improving industry standards and developing RV technician training in Ontario. His efforts have ensured a steady stream of skilled trade professionals for dealerships, significantly advancing the RV community. Jamie’s journey in the industry began in 1971 at Rideau Acres Campground and has since encompassed founding JR’s Mobile RV Service in 1998 and developing the only RV technician apprenticeship program in Ontario from 2002-2009.

Jamie’s influence extends beyond his business. As an industry expert, he has hosted consumer seminars at RV shows, educating the public on RV maintenance and best practices. His leadership on both the provincial ORVDA education committee and the RVDA of Canada National Education Committee has been instrumental in navigating industry challenges and fostering growth. Jamie's dedication, leadership, and unwavering support have left an indelible mark on the RV industry, inspiring peers and ensuring the industry's continued success.
