General Manager
The General Manager(GM) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the RV dealership’s operations. The GM plays a pivotal role in the overall success of the dealership by providing leadership, strategic direction, financial management, and overseeing all operational aspects of the business. They are responsible for creating a positive customer experience, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and driving growth and profitability.
Their role is multifaceted and involves various responsibilities, including:
Leadership: Providing strong leadership to all dealership staff, including sales, service, finance, and administrative personnel. Setting the overall direction and goals for the dealership.
Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve the dealership’s sales and profitability objectives. Identifying growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
Financial Management: Managing the dealership’s finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Ensuring that the dealership operates within its budget and financial targets.
Sales Management: Overseeing the sales team, setting sales targets, and implementing sales strategies to meet or exceed sales goals. Monitoring and analyzing sales performance.
Customer Relations: Maintaining strong customer relations by ensuring that customers receive excellent service throughout their RV purchase and ownership experience. Addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
Inventory Management: Managing the dealership’s inventory of RVs, ensuring that it is well-maintained, priced competitively, and effectively marketed to potential buyers.
Staff Development: Recruiting, training, and developing dealership staff. Ensuring that employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their roles.
Compliance and Regulations: Ensuring that the dealership operates in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. This includes adherence to legal and ethical standards.
